About Pi Lab
Pi Lab is a practical homelab resource built by engineers who actually run the hardware we write about. We test every configuration on bare metal before recommending it.
Our guides cover Proxmox, Docker, self-hosted AI, networking, and NAS — the foundational pillars of any serious home lab. Every article is updated with the latest software versions and hardware benchmarks.
Why "Pi Lab"?
The name pays homage to the Raspberry Pi that started many of our homelab journeys, and to the inventor Eben Upton who made affordable single-board computing a reality.
